On Father's day, June 16th, Dad ordained Joel to the office of an Elder. What a special day! Now Joel can go to the temple and he has been preparing for it.
June 26 was the appointed day. It turned out to be a very long evening as there was a power outage...after about 45 minutes the power was back on again and we began the session...but then the movie and soundtrack got way out of sync...causing further interruptions and distractions. But all's well that ends well and it was a lovely evening. Special friends were there with us and we appreciate their support. The Freemans, the Swinneys, Kristi Call, Ryan Budge, Yolanda Wilcox and Bishop and Ann Winiecke. Unfortunately we got out so late that we didn't get pictures with many of them. Wendy Freeman was across the street working at the Family History Center while she waited for us all to get done.
